When I joined Groupon, the company was on the brink of becoming a global phenomenon. It was just before the IPO, and everything was accelerating — headcount, markets, products, and complexity. Inside the company, it felt like standing at the center of a storm of growth.
I led a small team responsible for building Groupon’s global merchant payments system — sending money to partners in 35 countries. We weren’t the biggest team. But by focusing on clarity, systems, and culture, we accomplished what would’ve taken entire departments elsewhere.
We didn’t grow by headcount — we grew by leverage.
That experience changed how I lead — and now how I coach. I help founders and executives apply the same principles to their own organizations: building clarity, culture, and focus that scale.

Before coaching, I led engineering, and product teams at startups and global companies — including Groupon, where I built the global payments organization during its most rapid expansion. Those experiences taught me that leadership isn’t about control; it’s about clarity, culture, and focus.
